"A Day At The Spa" is an excellent addition to the Lenscap Challenge. This is some really good work, congratulations on the 9th place and top 10 percent.

The image would defiantly grab the attention of any photographer, especially us Canon users. Ironically the image looks very fresh, maybe because of the spa or the cucumber. The focus, lighting and composition are excellent. Also I think the placement of your subject was just right with the rules of thirds.

I really do wish I had more to saw but this is just an excellent piece! Congratulations! I have a strong feeling it won't be long before you are added to the list of Ribbon winners.

"Weapon of Mass Destruction" is a good homage to Lord of War, which was an excellent movie. At first I was thinking of the Non-Point song "Bullet with a Name on it" but any way the shot defainlty grabbed my attention.

It sounds like there was some controversy durning the challenge as to wether or not this was still life, so I will just critique the photo itself.

The compoistion is very nice, we have a clean slate with only our subject. I think in this day and age an image like this gives a strong emotional sense. The focus is nice and stronger on the bottom. This I found interesting becuase usualy our focus is on the tip, so good job on a differnt persepcitve. Also it is intersting that you have enough light not to cast a shadow. I think a shadow with the soft focus would not have worked, so good choice.

Overall I think you had a very good orginal idea, and a pretty good image. Unfortunaly I think a lot of voters were thinking still life was only a living object. Either was this was a cool shot and I look forward to your future enteries.

"Mid Air-Climber in His Element" is a wonderful entry into the Environmental Portrait challenge. Wonderful score, very well deserved.

I would say you nailed the Environmental piece, unfortunately I think voters really get picky towards the portrait aspect. I still loved this piece. I think you did an excellent job capturing someone truly in their environment without poising.

I think your composition is cool because you took a different approach. I like the long stretched feel, as well as how dark it gets toward the bottom. The lighting seems just right, which probably wasn't so easy since you were outdoors. The boarders are interesting and I think they add to that stretched feeling to show the perspective of how small the climber is compared to his environment.

Overall this is a very strong image, it almost looks like one of the inspirational posters. Congrats on the new personal best score, it was very well deserved.
