To the heart of my sunshineby TlemetryComment: *Critique Club*
"To the heart of my sunshine" is a good photo for the Love II challenge. You have defiantly met the challenge here.
The image draws you in because of the very bright colors. I think you did a really good job of setting up this piece, I really like the balance you were able to create by off setting the plates. The lighting seems a little bit strong, but I bet it was challenging trying not to cast shadows from the chocolates. I would also recommend in the upper right hand corner getting the table cloth or material straighten, the wrinkles take away from the overall effect. I think the way you cropped the shot works really well for this piece. I really like that it is square.
Overall you did a very nice job giving us a bright photo that draws in the eye. I look forward to your future challenges! |

"I do" is a great entry into the Love II challenge. I think you did a good job of picking a pretty universal subject that we can all understand without explaining.
The focus is really good, I really like that the focus is clear and clean on the subject and you were able to create such a soft feeling around the edges. The lighting is nice, it is not over bearing.
This is a very good job especially for your first challenge. I really think you already ahead of the curve in finding subjects that appeal to the viewers. Nice work. |

Rainbow walkwayby PaulEComment: *Critique Club*
Wow how did I get so lucky! I was just glancing through the Street Challenge top photos and just loved this one because the colors really allowed it to stand out. Congratulations!
Well obviously I really think "Rainbow walkway" is an excellent choice for this challenge. The image really grabs the viewer between the vibrant colors and striking lines. I think the best thing is how natural this looks, I can see people spending several hours trying to achieve something like this.
I was looking over the comments and honestly I can see the suggestions that were made but I really don't think it would have changed my vote. This is just an awesome shot! Congrats again!!

The watcherby mambaComment: *Critique Club*
"The watcher" is a very cool shot for the Street Photography challenge. Excellent choice shooting in black and white. Looking at the other two photos that you have posted I would agree with you and say this was the best choice for the challenge.
I really like the length that you were able to create with the architecture. I think it is really cool how the patio is breaking up the levels of the building. The lighting looks pretty good, I am sure you were not able to avoid the building shadow that is cast across the frame. I would be curious to see the shot if we were able to increase the contrast a little bit. Overall I think you did an excellent job, especially in finding a subject that is a little different from everyone else's. Nice work!

Parade dayby DaveSMComment: *Critique Club*
I think "Parade day" was a great choice for the Street Photography challenge. I think it is very interesting that most of the top placing photos were all in black and white. Great job picking up on the importance of this type of shot being in black and white.
I really like how you choose to focus directly on the subject. I think voters may have had a hard time with this. Also the focus is great because it allows us to feel the movement of the piece. The only thing I would say is maybe if we could increase the contrast just a little bit to really grab the viewers attention.
Keep up the excellent work!
