Nice, though that bit of black (rung of the gate, I'm guessing) is distracting. Still...very nice.

So many flower shots. Everyone seems to love the "ground-up" theme from a bug's perspective...or, they're just fond of their macro work, and are making up excuses for why it should be here. I love the picture, but I don't see its connection to the theme. Shot: "10"; pertinence to topic: "2." I'll give you a "6."

I think this shot could be much better (not that it's bad) if the sky were adjusted.

I absolutely love your concept, your shot, and your self-criticisms. I honestly thought this was a "flag tablecloth," until I read what you had to say. Your noticing the ant's being on red rather than white ΓΆ€” and that phenomenon's taking away from the ant ΓΆ€” too, is quite shrewd. That said, no matter the "flaws," this is, indeed, a marvelous picture. Great work!

Wow. How'd you set this up? Was it one shot, or was it somehow "PhotoShop"ped into existence?

I must agree with "Koriyama": I really loved this photo, thinking that the model had to pose, while the shot had to have much forced perspective, and the lighting would be just right. I was, indeed, concerned that anybody could do all this in a single shot with minimal computer-editing. Learning how you achieved your results, I'm relieved, but confused as to how this shot was captured in adherence to this site's rules.

Nice, but blurry (though, maybe [likely] that's what you were going for).

Amidst a slew of buildings, this somehow manages to stand out. Great job.

My only real complaint is that the background is not out-of-focus enough. You might have tried a wider aperture, but perhaps this was the widest you had. Anyway, good job.
