waterby JustCareeComment: Well Caree your photos are just getting better and better!
As a fellow student of the Sub-Club I'm probably not the best to help but just a thought on how this shot could have been better (IMHO)would be to use a tripod (if taken by hand) and set the aperture to at least 20. This will increase the exposure time but would achieve better focus on the background and soften the water in the foreground. Maybe even lower the exposure time recomended by the camera to reduce the brightness of the sky. You will loose some detail of the water and probably the image of the boat but I don't feel the boat is important to the photo composition. Just go out and shoot this again with these suggestions - easy hey! ;-) |

Mykono Windmill Sunsetby sarsonukComment: This is not a bad capture but I feel it could have been so much better. I've never seen this type of windmill before. However, I'm sure I won't be the only one to point this out (said that before and was proven wrong) but not have the horizon strait really hurts the shot. A 3 from me. |

Otterby NikonJebComment: Nice choice of subject, however, I feel the PP has been overdone. I'm sure this will have its audience just as it is something that you like to do. My tastes is consistantly changing (growing?) and this type of processing may really appeal to me one day. But for today this got a 3 from me. |

Puddle Navigationby abuscemiComment: I don't know if the exposure obtained will be to every DPCers liking but I feel it's perfect. Of the 338 submissions this is my favorite (and is added as one of my favs). A photo that tells a story is special but for me this is an entire novel! I originally gave this a 9 but on my second viewing I'm bumbing it to my only 10 of the challenge. I would not be surprised if this doesn't ribbon but dissapointed if not in the top 10. This should be in a gallery where great art is hung. Well done! |

Golden Eagleby DistantColoursComment: This is a fantistic photo and one of my picks for the challenge! The details, lighting, colour and OOF BG are spot on. I gave this a 9 and the only reason it wasn't a 10 was the reflection in it's eye. Lovely, well done! |

storm cloudsby nivlekComment: I know the exact fence your shooting over at Wattamolla. You're only about 10km from my place. If you're in the area again PM me and if possible and if you wish we can go shooting together.
Quite a nice shot but I feel it needs a bit more oomph with the colours. |

Nature Photographer by vawendyComment: Fantastic shot! This was my pick for the challenge and my only 10 vote. The lighting, composition and PP are great. This really nails the challenge criteria IMHO. Well done and I expect to see this on the front page. |

Breaking the Silenceby skarpi_xxxComment: This was my pick of the challenge - powerful, dramatic, good timing with the wave and a great tilted subject. This looks great in B&W but I wonder if the colour version may have worked even better. Nicely done! 9. |
