Everything about this reminds me of getting old. Such as the tones, the location, the silhouetted person with the aging dog, but mostly the impression of looking at the world though cataract eyes.

There is so much to love about this image but a couple of things that stand out for me is the great focus on the concentrating face and the decorations that helps to identify the period when taken. I love the way you have processed the b&w of the image too.

I looked at this image for quite sometime without looking at the title (just happened to fit nicely on my screen that way) trying to understand what I was looking at. I thought I could see an eye and a nose. I got a feeling of looking at a Picasso through opaque glass. All of that didn’t really matter as I was really just enjoying the image as a whole.

I then looked at you title and was a little confused but then your image took on a whole new impression and emotion. Funny how a title can do that sometimes.
