Cheers! by giantmikeComment: The reflection of the fireworks in the glasses really makes this image. Great idea and nicely done. On a personal note I would love to see this in b&w. I know it would result in a lower vote but it is something I think may have created something really interesting for me. |

It's my party and i cry if i want toby mrbig65Comment: Seriously! Is that an eye? I was wondering how you managed to achieve the large bokeh with the sharp firework at the one location and then I read your title and had a closer look. Actually, I had a further back look and to me this may be an image of an eye with the fireworks somehow reflected or the bokeh reflected in the eye. OK, I̢۪m confused but also intrigued. This image becomes more fascinating the longer I look. Nice. |

do a little danceby posthumousComment: This is just too good! I feel I'm looking at a lovely charcoal drawing that̢۪s been perfectly smudged.
Love the title too. Ties it in nicely to the challenge. |

Nic Portraitby PaulComment: Although I prefer the skin tones in your entry I feel this is better composed with nice framing and the stare beyond the camera. |

by nixterComment: I had a queasiness feeling when I first saw the thumbnail as I friend of mine hung himself just before Christmas. For a second I thought not to open you image but I̢۪m so glad that I did. This is such a fantastic image that I can look beyond my own memories and appreciate what you have created. It helped to read some of the other comments to see different takes on the image.
What makes this image work for me is the tilt, grain, perspective, texture, the out of focus subject, the light from the door and the shadows. I̢۪m sure if I was to study this for longer other elements will present themselves to me such as the lines from the polished floor boards, the open hand and the hint of toes. Enough rambling, I just really like it and I̢۪m so glad that I decided to look.

01/52 - surface tensionby mitalapoComment: Very nicely done. I tried something similar in the Six Word Memoirs challenge last year but you pulled this off much better. |

Apple_8095.010512by mariucaComment: I actually prefer the one you chose to exhibit. The apple shadow adds so much to the composition. |
