I had an escalator image in my options for this challenge but submitted another. I like the colours, reflections and symmetry in your image. A lower standpoint might have made it even stronger.

Is see two images of this same pier in this challenge. In my view the other is better as result of its low perspective and view angle. It makes it more dynamic.

Still life with bread, wine and apples

I think it needs more work in terms of composition, viewing angle and especially lighting. It could be much more appetizing than this. With good light you could emphasise the texture of the bread, the colour of the wine, the shape of the apples, the shape of the glass etc. I would start with reduction of the number of elements, take a lower viewpoint and then experiment with different light sources. A single light source from the side to start with, and some reflectors to fill in shadows etc etc.
