I gave it a 5 (one of many in this challenge). It is a gorgeous image of the coast that I have seen quite a few images of. It complies with the challenge (so in my rating it starts at 5) and has no technical flaws (so no points subtracted), I also thought the choice of flowing water was rather obvious for this challenge, it did not WOW me. Could have scored a point higher from me, a bit of an arbitrary choice in the end.

The light here seems to be much more evenly distributed than what I would expect to see in the case of dappled light.

Sun through the trees is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking dappled light. But I like it that you had trees without leaves that create nice patterns on the snow.

I like the grain (?) type finish. You could have cloned out the green sign to make the negative space more empty and focus the attention towards the car and the road in the distance.
