6 - Met the Challenge (in an unusual but valid way - in my opinion, by putting a photo of this in a time capsule for this year to show that some things remain the same, 'over' eras, to future generations). It is a kind of 'paradox' and for that I think it is creative and unusual and yes 'out of the box', for it is still 'true' to 2005, though of course not 'indicative' of the 'general way of life' "to depict the era to future generations". Criticism; whilst I think the b/w works well here, especially with the seeming 'intent', given the year, maybe a 'color' shot of this, not sure. Of course, for me you could have put possibly 1950? (or whatever year that bike is), but I think I understand your intent. I also wonder whether a black frame may have been more dramatic. In my opinion it is a stretch on the 'spirit' of the Challenge, but it is still realistic enough to be 'acceptable' in my opinion, etc etc. Perhaps a little more definition on the bike may have made this a better photograph, in my opinion.

7 - Met the Challenge (for me, a photo of this put in a time capsule for this year would depict the era/feel for future generations). Criticism; whilst I do like the color treatment, and also that you have retained the colors rather than gone for the sepia or b/w, for me I find, especially the seemingly oversized uniform (and no trousers?) a little detracting from the overall picture. Perhaps if that 'subject' were not so sharp, or well lit, not sure, but may have made this a better photograph in my opinion. Perhaps it is a 'story' being told here, that includes the surrounding objects like the bike, and what looks like an overturned pram(?) not sure, but I am fairly certain it is a 'moment in time' at a 'historical event' in an 'era' (40's) that you are capturing and I think you have succeeded in that, if I am correct in that interpretation. I can see you have made a lot of effort here and it shows in your shot. I like the texture capture on the walls, etc too and the 'darkness' around them at the top.

6 - Met the Challenge in my opinion (I think a photo of this in a time capsule would depict this era for future generations, unless these were in fact going in a 'large' time capsule). Criticism; whilst I can see you have applied some effects for an 'aged' look, I would like to see more of that. More softening perhaps, or even a sharper but more 'grainy' feel. Good choice of childhood 'feel' subjects though that look fairly authentic to me.

6 - Challenge met (I consider a photo of this put in a time capsule would depict this era for future generations). Criticism; whilst I am normally an advocate of unusual angles, I think you have detracted from the potential here. I have my suspicions you may have done this as that may be a 'modern' phone in the 'old style'(?), so good 'hiding' if that is the case. The ear piece is not in focus and if that were in focus and possibly just a more side on angle, including the flask, and a little straightening, especially seeing as you have that 'frame' in the 'set', would have made this a better photograph in my opinion. The sepia looks good. edit: typo

5 - (up from 4) The concept is good for meeting the Challenge (especially in the true time capsule sense). Criticism; the little ornaments are getting too lost in my opinion in front of the map. A different angle may have helped here or just playing around with lighting or composition/arrangement. The 'base' perhaps could be something that may 'lift' this shot more, not sure what, just something that ties in with your 'set' more, even just color wise. Perhaps if you had experimented with the lighting you may have been able to introduce more shadow play, which may have made it a better photograph - in my opinion.

6 - Good shot to depict the feel/era for the Challenge (in my opinion this shot in a time capsule would do that for future generations). Criticism; whilst you have obviously applied a few effects (sepia?, grain?), if you had taken them a little further and included perhaps softening too, it may have made this a better photograph in my opinion. I think her pose / expression is 'classic' and the dress and doll and basket? (which I would like to see more of) adds the required character to capture this era. She is getting a little 'lost' in front of the tree though, with her dark hair in my opinion. Good effort to capture 'childhood in this era', in my opinion.

7 - Good shot for the Challenge (in my opinion a shot of this into a time capsule for the year depicts the era/feel for future generations well). I like the b/w or sepia? Criticism; not sure if you have softened/blurred, and whilst I do like that effect, for me if it were 'crisper', especially on the wheels (more contrast there too re the white) and on the emblem/crest, would have made this a better photograph in my opinion. Just a nice 'feel' to this shot. I can't quite discern if it is a 'pick up truck', if it is, I would like to have seen the tray incorporated for added character.

7 - Good effort to meet the Challenge (picture of this in a time capsule for this year depicts the era well for future generations). I like the b/w or sepia?. Like how you have captured just about the entire room, including ceiling. Criticism; for me, either a softening, or, more detail (especially on the lady) would make this a better photograph in my opinion.

6 - Good effort to capture the era for the Challenge (in my opinion, this shot put into a time capsule for this year captures it well - albeit 'highly stylized). Criticism; whilst I like the dummies - 'he' looks less real than 'her', so for me, detracts. So, in my opinion, either a blurring out more or a cropping out of him, would make this a better photograph in my opinion. I like the colors and the contrast, the lighting too, but just a tiny bit 'blown' (but I'm guessing that's what you were going for) in my opinion. Creative though, you went to a lot of trouble.

7 - Good effort to capture the era/year/feel for the Challenge (in my opinion, a shot of this put in a time capsule for this year gives a good depiction). Criticism; whilst I do really like this shot and the feel, I'll state the obvious and go against what you are obviously trying to achieve - for me, it is too dark. Especially on the pump, if that just had a touch more 'detail', it would make it a better photograph in my opinion. It is a fine shot though and the setting is good - even getting more detail on the house(?) or church(?) would lift it more for me, but I think I get your intent, and it still 'fits the Challenge' just a 'creative' take, so well done. Ok, from 6 -> 7.
