full-wing-spread-hawk.by MacDonaldComment: '7' maybe '8', for 'Off-Centered Subject II' - had you entered it. I guess you entered something even better than this....(kidding). Very nice capture of a.. red-tailed hawk. |

cruisin`by MacDonaldComment: Another nice capture. Again, quality dependent, this even bigger = better, in my opinion. |

take offby MacDonaldComment: Nice capture. 'If only' the very tip of that wing in the frame (but you know that). Nice composition and colors - quality dependent, this at 640 (width) be even better in my opinion. The face/eyes look very good. Not sure if the framing is intentional or not (and apologies in advance if so), but on the right and the bottom there is a thin white line. |

Proudby arbil14Comment: 8 - Very good. Criticism; not much, the 'snout' in focus as well, maybe a 'composition' variation (depending what you had) with a little more space, perhaps on the left to incorporate the other OOF hind leg, not sure. Like the sharpness and definition in the claws - 'if only' more of the lizard had the same clarity, make this even better in my opinion, but obviously difficult. |

Close-upby bryanbrazilComment: 7 - Nice composition. Criticism; sharper mainly, more definition. Looks a little blurred but could be zoom/resizing issues. Good color. |

Fantasiaby gevorgComment: 4 - Good potential. Colors seem good. Criticism; difficult to discern whether it is 'blur' issues here or focus &/or too tightly cropped, resulting in loss of quality. Depending what you had to work with, perhaps trying to incorporate more of the rings/ripples of the water for added effect, and the above mentioned 'sharper'/focal issues, would likely have made this much better in my opinion. |

Standoffby JacksonComment: 7 - Good capture. Criticism; difficult as obviously opportune and likely from quite a distance, but.. 'sharper' (which I'm sure you're well aware), make this even better in my opinion. Perhaps a slightly tighter crop at the bottom, not sure, 'works' well as is. |

Footholdby basicentryComment: 8 - Good and unusual capture/composition. Criticism; difficult obviously, and 'lens' dependent mostly, but 'sharper' and more 'pop', make this even better in my opinion. Perhaps a little more space (depending what you had of course) on the right, primarily to incorporate 'all whiskers'. |

I've got my eye on youby smykComment: 7 - Excellent focus/clarity on and around the eye. Criticism; depending what you had to work with, perhaps 640 height with this too, bringing in a little more context/more body - the OOF 'nose/snout' is more dominant here than the eye in my opinion. The reflection in/on the detracts slightly, but fairly minor. Color is good. |

daintyby byoungComment: 7 - Nice colors and composition. Criticism; too soft (whether pp or not) in my opinion, but I realize you may have going for this effect. Just think it would be a stronger image with more definition in the bird and those water droplets/etc. |
