The forgotten carnival mask-Venice 2005by sarimiliComment: This shot has some very strange lighting and is blurry. I feel that this photograph belongs in this challenge like a beautifully composed poem belongs in a corporation's annual report. Your first clue could have been the extra description that you felt needed in the title. There are photo competitions on the internet that allow for submitting your best photo (or a photo of your choice), however, I believe this site is prompting you to take shots that you wouldn't have otherwise by followin the description of the challenge. I hope this comment is constructive. If your photo finishes lower than you had hoped this might be the reason. Good luck. |

childhood a treasure in any eraby sasharoseComment: I'm going to have my first daughter in 2 months, so in a few years I can see myself trying to capture a shot like this. Now - Feel it.by ApeeComment: I'm scorig you quite low for a few reasons. Please take these reasons as a representation of how to please or not please one voter (maybe more if I'm the only one willing to comment) One I have no idea what year you are portraying (by looking at the picture. Although you say "now" in your title, now is not a year and the hands on a clock have been around for a long time, which leads me to... Two, this clock is not something that would do well in a time capsule. It is like you are submitting a photograph to a corporate client hoping they will use your photo in their adds. They ask for a picture the distiguishes which a specific year. Would they select your photo over others. No. |

1931by OzzieComment: Love everything about this picture except the grass as a background. I think it would have had more punch on cement, concrete, brick, etc. The green seems to be reflecting into the yellow paint effecting the purity of the color. |

1978by saloonstudiosComment: This is so close to being absolutely perfect. The crop pulls you in and the depth of field make me feel fine with not being able to see the entire car. So good job there. I notice your reflection. That to me is the only flaw. If only we could clone that out in an open challenge... Great shot! |
