love the composition but the whole pic seems to be a bit fuzzy, out of focus. Also, it might be my imagination, but I think the frame is tilted, as the house seems to be leaning to the right a tad... could be easily remedied w/ a rotation... nice shot though

I very much like this shot. I think you caught the subject in the perfect composition, with the bright white behind his head serving to make that focal point stand out.

awesome pan focus to isolate the action. I used to love shooting sports (especially football) for my school paper, but never got a chance to do something more artsy with it, which is what I think you've achieved here, with the grain really providing that 'gritty' feel of the game.

Awesome comp and post-processing. I love seeing great NY photos b/c when you're familiar w/ a location, seeing how someone else shoots it provides a different and perhaps deeper experience of a photo than when you haven't witnessed the place with your own eyes.

Should have ribbon'd IMO (no offense to the deserving winners)
