well i think there is too much nest in this photo, but other than that this is an incredible capture that surpasses most of the photos that were rated higher in this challenge. Very crisp, very nice, I think it would be benefited by a tighter crop to capture the action and engage the viewer better.

I knew I recognized this! Well, not this exact bench, but the scenery is familiar. While attending college, I spent 2 summers working as a landscaper/small construction for a family friend's residence in Hornbaek, right on the water like this. I often rode my bike up the coast and was enchanted by the sunsets, sat on the benches like this that dot the coast. This photograph brings back all of those memories. Very nicely composed, the only improvement I can see would be if those other trees weren't behind the base of the main tree, seeing the outline of the main tree against the sky would make the pic 'cleaner' and I think more effective. Great shot!

I love the composition and the colors, but I think you would have scored a lot higher if the photo didn't have so many grays, if there was more contrast. Still a very respectable placement, nice shot!

i love this shot, if it did so well in the free study I think it would have killed the still life challenge. The tones are just right, and the white of the flowers is the perfect kick. Simple and elegant. Congrats on the strong finish.

Classic maybe, but executed so well - you made it yours. Ive actually wanted to take this picture for a while, I don't know exactly where this location is, should look it up! Man I've been in Philadlephia for the summer and I miss NYC so much, I love DUMBO, drinking a bottle of wine between the bridges on the water and watching the sun set over the city. Congrats on the strong finish, great pic.

sigh. This picture is bizarre and surreal, the juxtaposition does not make sense (to me at least), which makes the image all the more intriguing. Congrats on such a strong finish.
