To me it seems a dark and contrast possibly a bit low. The reddish object on the right side of the frame, competes for attention. I do like the sense of scale that the fingers give to the flower. 5

Nuclear Death

Actually the Cherenkov effect is sort of an electric blue. Erie as hell as the glow floats on the surface. (The object does not glow, the glow is produced by the radiation slowing down in water. Which is probably more than you ever wanted to know. <grin>) Nice depth of field, great effect, and I particularly like the dead bug for atmosphere. 8

Great composition. 8 ball in the background really makes this photo. If I would have done anything different, it would have been to remove the the out of focus object to the left of the 8 ball, and change the background a bit. Something is needed there to give the 8 ball its shape, but the red is a tiny bit distracting. Key word is tiny, because this is really a nice photo and it would make a great poster in a billiard parlor or game room of a home. Congratulations on a really good photo.
