I've tried it before and never succeeded... Blur was my problem, too. Not only hard to keep a kid really still but also hard to hold the camera steady on a spinning playground toy. That one must be a superbly balanced and well oiled one.. or you're just better at it than I am. Very well done and congrats on your well deserved ribbon.

The beautifully saturated colors seperate this from many of the other bee photos in the competition. There is one other that I like more but this is a close second (and there is more than a handful of bee photos in this). Great focus, too.

The center presentation works for this, and I like the color theme. Slight noise that doesn't look quite right in this kind of photo (I'm not a noise hater, but these photos generally look better without it). But overall, very nice.

Nice use of expert editing, but it doesn't quite convince. Not because of the content, that part I really like, but some of the black edges look out of place and the focus looks all over the place... Things are blurred where they shouldn't be, sharp where they shouldn't be. It's cool, but expert editing or no expert editing it should still look like a photograph.

Very creepy looking tree. I like this, but I think this is a case where some heavy editing could have done wonders, though... As it is right now it is a little bit bland, and the brightness at the top is distracting.

Wow, it almost looks like cgi. I love the haze way in the distance, it adds an almost surreal quality that might not have otherwise been there. Beautifully captured.
