This one is dark - in more ways than one. I like the perspective and the blur in the background, leaving me to assume what is coming up the screen/web.

This looks to me like it got caught somewhere between noise reduction and USM, and lost some of its real texture. (Maybe it was severely cropped to get in this close.) I'll have to check back and see if you have any explanation in your notes.
