Great concept and well-executed, but I have a beef with the footprint being so perfect. Forward motion just doesn't allow for footprints like that one to exist.

Beautiful! There's a fantastic juxtaposition of materials in this shot, and the basics (framing/lighting) are perfect! One question though: is that speck of light to the left of centre a floating dust mote or something in the background?

Nice play on words! I like the framing, but why are the edges so blurry, especially the left? Is moisture in your lense? I know some eBayers from down south are having problems with that. It might just be that the DOF is really short. I still like it.

WOW! I love it's simplicity, and the fact that you've conveyed energy with gravity simply by rotating the shot! There are NO improvements I can think of. This shot just IS. Definitely print-worthy. This is probably the only 10 I'll give this challenge.

Your camera cast a shadow, dang it. That's the only minus on this shot, but it's a big one.

I like it! It's an action shot, it's original, and it made me smile! Only thing I'd change is the completely unnecessary backlighting, and maybe step back an inch or two to include the front of the pile.

*Goes to make another cigarrette* Simple yet effective. What is it about B&W that makes shots so much more emotive? I know the nervous energy involved in repeatedly flicking a cig, and this conveys it exactly. I love it, though a slight improvement would have been an empty background.

Beautiful showcasing of a neat piece of nature! Hmmm, the only improvement I can imagine here is to have had the "statue" on that pile of grains on a slab of rock. The background needs continuity with the foreground.

Beautiful!!! I love the framing, the lighting is perfect, and I can't believe the wonder you have achieved with sand! This is NOT an ordinary "Oh look, some sand" shot! This is print-worthy.

The DOF is really short and distorts all the nice details outside of it. How can potting mix be so pretty? If you were to redo this shot, I'd suggest removing the pine needle and keeping the chopped-off stalk out of the shot. Well, and a camera that's got a macro with a larger DOF :P
