Darkness is an opportunity to explore Lightby virtualmeComment: I'm not sure what the object is in this photo. I think it may be more compelling if we could see what it is. Right now it just appears to be circles on a black background which does not really suggest darkness to me. I may be missing something, but it's nice to have a photo that makes a good strong connection to the challenge topic. |

Deadwoodby marvinComment: This photo did not really fit this challenge for me. All the lines of all the branches in the background are a little distracting. If the tree was really dead/burned it would be nice to have that be more apparent. |

Lightning Crashesby sacredspiritComment: I do like the idea of using lightning, but the rest of this image is so grainy and the foreground is so dark that it creates problems. Maybe if you cropped the iamge right below the line between the trees and the sky it would be a more powerful image. |

Out of the darknessby helgikrComment: This photo is just magic. I'm adding it to my favorites and I hope it wins. I love that the pony on the left fades into darkness, the white pony is a great counterpoint. One seems to be moving toward the darkness, the other afraid of it. And if all that isn't great enough you have the skyline in the back with just the perfect hint of sunset. I'm a huge fan, good luck. 10. |

Swan Lakeby secondglantzComment: Lovely moment to capture. I love the reflection and the black and white was a wise choice. The ripples in the water create a nice effect. |

Maestroby bryanbrazilComment: Stunning. I love the gradation of black and white on his wings. I'm adding to my favorites. I'm not a member, but if I could vote it would be a 10. Perfect moment. |

Male Northern Cardinal Taking Flightby janrussComment: I love the fan effect his wings make. Maybe crop more of the green grass from the bottom and sides to really have a tight frame on him. If you can enhance the red anymore that might also really bring him out. |

Watchfulby andrimComment: The mother duck is so clear and her stance is so perfect in this photo. It would be great if you could have gotten a shot with more of the baby ducks reflections in the water. |

Behind the Fenceby JEFFJSBComment: I like the concept of viewing the construction behind the fence, Here I think the depth of field is a little distracting. I might prefer seeing the construction in focus and the fence somehwhat fuzzy. |

construktion for bikesby visaksenComment: This is an awesome image. I love the perspecive, the light at the end of the tunnel the bright colors to the right. Sadly it just does not work in this challenge. It falls into the category of construction only as much as any man made infrastructure does. |
