I like the soft focus behind the branches. I wonder if this photo would be better appreciated in black and white. The colors don't add anything and the orange cast to the wood is too strong. Nice subject.

Beautiful image. The leaves seem to have a lot of glaring light on them, but I like the effect. I wonder if I would like the image even more if you had cropped out the tree trunk all together and just left the branch suspended in the darkness. Very nice choice of image.

To me the light coming through the leaf is beautiful, but the border is quite distracting. I am assuming this is a branch, but it is hard to decipher that in this photo. In any case beautiful use of light and texture.

What a great photo! This remind me of the HP commercial that were on TV, but with a twist. Great use of the drab gray and black juxtaposed with the flesh! Gutsy photo and unique, which is important. It would have been even more fun to have her against a different background, maybe outside! I like the slight tilt to the image. Awesome job. One of my top 2 in this challenge! Good luck. 10.

Stunning image. I love the desolation. It might have helped to frame the shot so that lightning and the tops of the mountains were not so close to the barbed wire. Please tell us where this was taken. The only thing that prevents me from giving a 10 is that I don't see any rain, although the lightning is gorgeous. 9
