8by gppacecarComment: That is a truly ugly shade. Was the ground really that color, or did you manipulate it? The orange ring is kind of nice, but the subject is too small to make out any detail. |

Long Journey Homeby lissylouComment: Background is both harsh on the eyes and boring, and the mouse seems out of focus. Making the mouse a little bit larger might have helped. |

Last Hopeby saintaugustComment: Image seems slightly out of focus and the highlights seem blown on the light reflection, but the image reflection is nice, and the light against the background gives it just enough shading to make it interesting. Overall, it's a nice effect. |

Eye in the Skyby SDWComment: The shadow across the head is distracting, and the plain background somewhat tedious. |

details? ...by notbiscuitComment: That's a really colorful tongue! The shot makes me smile, and wonder what the dog is thinking. I like the framing of this as well. Adding the eyes would have detracted from the image, I think, and there is enough texture in the background to keep it from being tedious. |

Optimismby k4ffyComment: A light, trying vainly to fill the darkness. I normally don't care for monotone backgrounds, but this works well. |

Spoolsby ShannonComment: I would have recommended reducing the aperture to get a better depth of field. The eye is naturally drawn to the bright yellow one, but unfortunately it's already slightly outside of the focal range. Alternatively, focusing there and blurring the near and the far parts might also have worked well.
I do like the colors. |

Albino Peacock 3by ShannonComment: There is probably no way to take a picture of an albino peacock such that it doesn't come out harshly white, so I can't really critizice the shot for that, even though the center is a little hard on the eyes. Composition is good, but I must agree with Rachel about the border. It's not subtle, doesn't really fit, and detracts from the image. |

found it....at lastby Femme du mondeComment: I'm not fond of pure black backgrounds, but it works well here. Since the focus is the light, which looks almost mystical, it's okay that the face is out of focus as well. |
