after the rainby StagoleeComment: This picture has a lot going for it, maybe too much. I feel as if I am looking at two pictures -- the bird in calm water at the bottom and the bird with power plant at the top. Actually, I think you could have cropped it above the second bird. That power plant doesn't add a lot to the picture, and you still have the rainbow. |

Odd or Even?by gsalComment: I might have cropped it just at the end of the curved piece of iron at the bottom of the picture, and then entered it in odd.
In any event, it's got great lines and graphic appeal. I love it. |

Even with two - they lostby shaverComment: I agree with Dr. Achoo -- your colors are flat and the piece of equipment doesn't stand out from the background. I was going to say that maybe if you had fooled around with depth of field, but then I noticed that you shot it at F2.8.
I don't know if you have access to Photoshop or a similar program, but it looks as if this is pretty much as it came out of the camera. I'd try pumping up the colors some, increasing the contrast, or maybe converting it to black and white.
I recognized the piece of equipment immediately. Too bad you couldn't have had Jane Fonda posing for you.
Keep on shooting.
