Ticketsby pwm6Comment: Neat picture! My only suggestion would be to level band of color on the bottom of the ticket booth. (That would never have bothered me that much before I jointed DPC!) |

Jinshanling from Simataiby elemessComment: Are these pictures straight from the camera? They are certainly interesting, but they look like they could use just a tad more color and contrast. |

Triangulateby myceliumComment: I looked at the original, and it's amazing what a difference the conversion to b&w makes. Much more depth and feel, and I also prefer the squarish crop.
Minor nit, were you working with layers? There's a line along the furthest ridge that bothers me a little. It looks like it could be trees, but not quite.
I really like the picture. Thanks for sharing. |

Friday-IMG_5099.jpgby TooCoolComment: I disagree with the previous viewers. I think the plant and flowers, by virtue of their bright color, are the focal point of the picture. Their contrast with the rocks provides plenty of interest.
I would have gotten rid of the twig that's above and to the left of the plant. It just clutters up the picture. I might have put more space to the left of the plant. Rule of thirds. |

Mintby MadMan2kComment: It looks as if you are getting ready for the Shallow Depth of Field Challenge. I like the portion of the background that is really out of focus, but for some reason the portion of the main plant that is out of focus doesn't work for me. I would crop out the right portion of the plant and concentrate on the left hand side of the plant that is in sharp focus and beautifully back lit.
P.S. Is this mint or parsley? Message edited by author 2005-12-15 02:40:28. |

Last train to Memphisby whiteroomComment: Minor nit -- I might have tried to dodge in a tiny bit of detail under the station roof. As it is, to my eye, you have a large, black area. Other than that great composition and color. The itty-bitty train in the distance is a plus. |

Victoria St.jpgby bpickardComment: I love the exterior pipes in the building in the background. They look like a giant plant crawling up the side of the building. |
