The Village Churchby wei1108Comment: I like this image, though I think I would love it with the left 20% gone. It is both soft and sharp, making it feel very natural, in spite of the coloring. I think, also, if the point of view were just a little lower, bringing the foreground closer, I would have really loved it. overall, very nice. 7 |

Bad Weather This Weekby klkitchensComment: I love this. It is whimsical and fun, and honestly, composed and lit well. Wish the depth of field was a little greater. 8 |

Little Red Deer Riverby LawtonComment: Pretty scene, well exposed. I feel it is missing something, something that ties me to the picture. Right now, looking at it, I feel I am on a train looking out the window rather than actually there. Kind of 'once-removed' so to speak. 6 |

Kingdom of the Lionby youpeeComment: I like the foreground interest though I think it is a little overwhelming to the rest of the scene. I keep wanting the camera to pan to the left, as if there might be something of greater interest over there. 6 |

Miami Sunsetby theluissalesComment: I appreciate the foreground included but the partial tree doesn't enhance the image. It throws it off balance a little. 7 |

Is The Barber In?by CuttoothComment: This was my favorite in the challenge. Admittedly, I didn't view all the images and didn't get a chance to get back to it, so I gave it a nine on my first pass. I think it sets up a wonderful story and allows me to fill in the blanks. The whole scene is just so interesting and ripe with possibility! The lines here work wonderfully for you. The only rough spot in the photo is that stupid globulous bush, but its shape and color is echoed by the car so it is tempered a little. The eye pretty much ignores it anyway - the colors of the man's shirt, his roses, the barber poles, really pulls the eye back into the action. It's like that song - "Anticipation. It's making me wait." I know something is going to happen so I sit and watch... Love this, thanks for sharing! |

Secret Enchantmentby Ja-9Comment: I think this works well because of the lighting. You picked a very good time to visit. The lights and darks play well together. 7 |
