I'm a big fan of "different" backgrounds, and this works well for me. If the focus had been on you (the subject)and the eyes sharp, this would be a real winner. I don't know how this picture was made, but the line between the subject and bg is distracting, especially on the right shoulder and arm. Good color and lighting. Just looking at this gives me ideas I want to try! Good luck.

You'll probably get crucified on this, but it's great "outside the box" thinking. Pretty well executed too. The hood appears a bit overexposed and oversharpened. Great composition.
