"I'm on top of the world"by red_geckoComment: nice. Great silhouette. Very nice background colours and gradient. My only suggestions is that its a bit centered (left to right I mean, top to bottom is fine). Perhaps cropping sightly one way or the other (following the rule of thirds) would add impact. Good shot. A 7 from me. |

The Straw That Broke The Camel's Backby cyanComment: great idea for the challenge. Nice job of isolating the content from the black background. Unfortunately, toys typically don't score too high here at DPC, so you'll likely drop a point just for that. Overall, a very good technical photo, though. A 6 from me. |

Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.by scruffComment: Fire is very difficult to capture well. I know, I've tried many times. You have a bit of blow-out above the match, which takes away from an otherwise very good image. The only way I've found to have this type of shot work is to use another medium power light source, from a complementry angle, which will reduce the impact of the fire on the exposure, and then play with sat and contrast in post-processing. Good Luck. A 6 from me. |

Soaring with the Eaglesby angela_packardComment: Not sure I like the duotone here. And there is something sticking in from the rigth edge (too bad it's a basic editing challenge). Otherwise, a good image. A 7 from me. |

Many Hands Make Light Workby ClubJuggleComment: great colors. My only critique is that you probably missed the perfect composition by about 2 - 3 seconds, where the boat was about 10 feet further away from the dark left edga. Otherwise a great shot. An 8 from me. |

Money on the Lineby Marc923Comment: Nice. I find a blyu ebackground like this is difficult to get, without introducing a lot of noise into the image. Nice job. What did you use for the background? It almost looks like it could be an all-blue image on a monitor / TV screen, the way it seems to glow. Composition is also very good. 8 from me. |

Two Peas in a Podby MattOComment: Nice concept for the challenge, and good execution. I find it just a bit bright, not overblown, as all the deail is there, just bright. Perhaps a touch less contrast ( but I'm no expert on post processing). |
