Tug o' Warby StrikeslipComment: Darn, not up a tree, eh? Just calmly discussing who's gonna win the Apple-Tug!!!! Slipping, Slippy?!
Then again, there is that little evil eye mirroring murderous intentions. Ooops - never underestimate the Bull in your life!

Shapesby mannjuditComment: I would have found this a little more interesting if you had selected shinier apples to atch the glaze of the bowl (those two little chips could have been darkened with Old English or something.)
On a less patterned, darker ground, having three smaller apples instead of two, in a bowl, whose handles are turned more to the diagonal - should create more movement, less flat feeling. 6 |

All American Dipby AJFIComment: feels a little more like a yellow-blue than a red-blue, so a teeny bit discordant against that particular red. but the shiny reflection and the drips make it work. 8 |

easily embarrassedby saintaugustComment: Cute idea, but the straight line doesn't spark interest. Maybe if the apples were grouped together as if talking - with the red apple slightly (!) beyond the group's edge? |

Red and Blackby theflyComment: Apple coloring: Rich, without losing the lighter contrasts.
Background: Like the black velvet that showcases jewelry so beautifully.
and... Continuing the same all around the apples works so effectly.
Set Up: Brilliant! To position each at different angles=fluidity for interest.
Cropping: Tight crop polishes this image off exquisitely.
Lighting: Perfect - enough to keep bright, dark enough to enrich the reds.
Gush-Level?: Mega-High 10 (y'think this might be my favorite?) |
