The sweep of the road is nice, but most of the rest of the photo strikes me as confusing and - you didn't build those houses on the hill - ugly.

This is a fantastic action shot. The top half of the photo seems like wasted space to me. It's out of focus, and it adds no value to the photo. In fact, I think there is more drama if the surfer is high in the photo.

Looks a little low contrast to me. Also, the DOF seems a little to deep to isolate the needles of the subject.
