Spirit Barnby SuntikiComment: Always wondered where moonshine was made!. B&W was a good choice here. Good lines, textures. |

back to natureby barbaraanneComment: Great lines, textures. I even like the misty light in the lens.
Apropos of nothing, I got a comment on my own photo ' looks like a ruin, not an abandoned building. I wonder if that voter commented here? Or at every photo of buildings without a roof? Could be a busy day...
Anyway, Nice Work. |

activity amidst the inactivityby krazyComment: Or, if entered in the Extreme Action challenge "Leaping from the Rafters." Sure teaches me a lesson in planning shots and hedging bets. The colors and lighting are very nice. I like the mechanical whatsits. And I must admit, begrudgingly of course, that the two high flyers add interest to the photo. Nice shot. |

Last Lightby BudComment: Nice job. It is not always true that tweeking the saturation will produce an interesting photo from an ordinary one. Iin this case, I think the lines and textures are strong to begin with; but boosting the saturation a lot has given the photo a real boost. I'm finding most of the stuff in the right quarter of the photo cluttered and extraeneous. Would it be just as good, I wonder if the right were cropped more? |

Sunkenby basia03Comment: Beautiful color and texture. Nice lines. It's useful to be reminded of how simple a really good photo can be. |

Extreme Slow Motionby Glen KingComment: Very funny.
The vast blurry space on the right and the slightly indistinct turtle headed into the blurry wall does not strike me as inspired composition. Hard to give it poiints commensurate with the genius of its inspiration. |

Swift Mountain Riverby riversongComment: I like to photograph streams as well. The most popular idiom for streams is to use really slow film, stop the lens down to f/32 , slap on a neutral filter, set the camera on a lens, expose for several seconds. Then the smoothe white color of the water really contrasts with the rough texture of the dark rocks. My own point and shoot won't let me do this, so I'm wondering whether I should try to photograph streams on brightly lit nights or near dawn or dusk. You migtht find that the composition feels less static if the stream flows diagonally through the photograph. |

Extreme Ironingby xtabintunComment: The idea for the photo is funny. The implementation strikes me as just a little over-the-top. |
