Evening Flightby TomComment: Critique Club:
Hey Tom. I like this picture alot. I think the lenseflare just helps the picture. It seems to be a bit out of focus or something. The sun is kinda blurry. Don't know what it is excatly. Can't really understand why it scored so badly. A good shot in my opinion.
Good luck in future challanges :)
Best regard, Arni

White on White: Egret Displaysby sfaliceComment: Critique Club:
What a beautiful bird. I like the tone of the picture. There are a few thing I think would help this picture to be even better.
1. Fliping the canvas horizontally. We read picture just like we read text from the left to the right. I start reading this picture and the palms and the back of the bird stops me right away. If you flip it the picture becomes more open in my opinion.
2. I like the palms and you are absolutly right abote it. It delineates the lines of the bird. But the ones out of focus in the foreground bothers me a bit.
All over a good picture beside those minor details. Try to flip it in photoshop and see what I'm talking about.
Good luck in future challanges :)

Meet You at the State!by livitupComment: Critique Club:
The light in this picture is just amazing. I like the crop. How you cut of the letters at the bottom draws my eyes to the STATE letters. I can almost feel the history of this building. The blue sky vs. the yellow building works well. Good use of complimentary colors. Good picture.
Good luck in future challanges.

The (Almost) Invisible Manby librodoComment: Critique Club:
If I had the power this one would have ended in first place by far. The contrast is just excellent and the crop is also good. The little girl looking at the man is a wonderful moment and makes this picture amazing. One of the far best picture you have taken in my opinion. Much better than the ones with a beautiful face and some scarf/clothing covering the face half way :) I would like to see more pictures like this from you. This is a real photograph! Great job. Just amazing! |

Trees of Knowlageby jentComment: Critique Club:
I like how the focus is on the trees. The trees are the main subject so that was clever of you. I really like the crop and the symmetry in the picture. There are a couple of things that could have gone better in my opinion. The building in the background tilts just a bit. And the road in the middle looks strange. Like their are grey paint on it or something. Placing an old man walking down that road would have made this picture amazing. Without and old man it is good as well ;) Good job and good luck in future challanges. |

Renaissanceby prenticeComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
I like the eye contact between you and the man on the picture. The light is good in it. Dark background and light face works well. I like the close crop. Maby it could have been closer emphazising the beard? The only thing that bothers me just a bit is the yellow/red flag on the left of the photo. Good picture all over. Good luck in future challanges. Aloneby puzzledComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Amy. There is something about this image. The grey sky, the yellow beach and the white/red boat. My eyes travel all over the picture which is good. I want to look at it. The boat is perfectly placed in the picture. Everything in the photo leads me to the boat. The only thing I think could have made this picture better is an old fisherman walking down the peer towards the camere. Maby with the catch of the day. Great job with this picture. It will be going in my favorites.
Good luck in future challanges. Regards, Arni |

Lest We Forgetby KitaComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
Hey Kita. Just want to start saying. Your "Seven deadly sins II" and "Deja Vu II" shots are amazing. You got a bright future in photography without a doubt!
Now... about this picture. I think you could have done better. The idea is good. There is journalism in the picture and a good reminder for all the people that lost their lives at War. In my opinion the color is a bit off. It is kinda yellow/orange. Maby it would have worked well to have a person in the picture looking at the plaque? Just an idea. Good luck in future challanges. I'll be watching you! |

Street Performers: A Blessing or a Curse?by tryals15Comment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
The contrast between the harmonika and the jacket is just great. I think the tone of the wall and the face of the man is to alike. Darkening the background and lighting up the face would have made this picture stronger in my opinion. I like how the picture is tilting. I'm thinking about the left hand of the man. Maby it would have been better with the whole hand in the frame. Not sure. Good picture and good luck in future challanges. |

Ducks In a Rowby TooCoolComment: Critique by arnit for the Critique Club:
I really like the composition. I'm happy that you chose to take this one outside rather than inside a studio. Gives it much more live. They people in the background add to the picture. People probably thought you were crazy lying in the ground with 4 rubber ducks taking pictures :) The only thing that I think could have been done better is the background. A simpler background. Maby white stone but keeping the people walking. A good picture all together. Good luck in future challanges. |
