Amy Lynn's Candles 2005 Holiday Catalogby youngnovaComment: The subject of candles is good, however I don't think I would try to show the entire line of candles in one shot. I like the DOF you chose. Try turning the table to a slightly different angle to try to minimize the window in the background and pick up more of the stocking on the fireplace. |

Lionel Trainsby backslashComment: I like the composition of this and the idea. Seems like the color could use a little more pop for the holidays. I may have tried lighting this a little more head on to the front of the eninge to take some attention away from the ornament in the upper corner. |

L.L. Bean - Flannel and Santa Cookie Gift Setby notesinstonesComment: I like the warm tones of this and the feeling of home. I would have stuck with one subject, the flannel I don't think the empty plate adds anything, and almost makes it look like the child is begging for food, although I'm sure this wasn't your intention. The lighting on the right is a little harsh and I think I would have maybe liked him standing so I could see more of the stockings. |

"Especially for Her"by The EskimoComment: I like the elegance of your shot, maybe a touch too much blue tone for something romantic like this a warmer tone may have worked better. The only other suggestion I would have is try tilting the subjet the other way from let to right instead of right to left. The right to left is a little uncomfortable and left to right is a little more natural I think. |

Happy Hanukkahby nlghttrainComment: I didn't score this real well for several reasons. First the crope seems a little tight and the back ground too busy. I think the entire subject needs to be in focus for this to work without the base being slightly blown out. I think I would have tried shooting this from a lower angle it is the shape that tells us what it is I really don't need to see empty places for the candles. |

Nostalgiaby AzCKellyComment: This is a good shot, however after looking at it for awhile it needs something. Maybe another color back ground, the red feet and hands tend to blend into the back ground and keeps the subject from poping out. Perhaps a green background would have been better to give some contrast to the red and blue and bring out the green in the hat a litte. |

When you can't have a Tree, at least you can have a Starby Pug-HComment: This shot doesn't do a whole lot for me. It seems like it lack punch and needs more than just a plain whit background. Also which item is the subject, they don't seem to be related, at least to me. The lighting is nice and even though without out any blown out highlits and it is in good focus so there are good thinkgs about it also. |
