Will it stop soon?by B74AComment: I really like the moodiness of this. If it were in a challenge, you might get comments about it being too dark, but I think it would lose the gloomy feel if it were lighter. This would probably also be great in b&w (but then it would need to be lighted a bit, most likely). Nice! |

Favorite Photo of the Day :)by SandyPComment: Look at that beautiful coat! Easy to see why this is your favorite of the day ... makes me think you've got some absolutely amazing shots saved up for a challenge. Looking forward to seeing what's coming up! |

Hibiscusby CalliopeKelComment: Me too! This is beautiful. Great colors and detail. I love the un-ordinary angle that the flower / pistel are pointing - it really adds to the feeling of depth. The black background was a perfect choice here. |

Textures of Rhinoby ShutterPugComment: Found this thanks to the Underground Rhino Club thread.
ShutterPug, I love this one best of all I've seen so far because of the crop. The crescent shape of his (or her?) snout is the focus for me even more than the textures. I just think it's great the way you've shown that half circle broken by the triangles of the rhino's horns. Not sure those things are called horns, but you know what I mean. The placement of his eye in the right is the icing on the cake. Just a wonderful crop and technically well-done shot. Nice work! |

This Wall Can Talkby GuGiComment: Hehhe, great find! I obviously didn't look at all the images in the challenge, 'cause I would have absolutely left you a comment on this one. Love that lens! The photographer did a good job, too ;-) Congratulations on an excellent entry, GuGi! |

Hitchin' a Rideby KarenNfldComment: Karen, you're on a roll! Congratulations to you on this top 5 shot - whoooohhoooo!! I didn't see this at all during voting, but would've rated it high. This is definately the first ever swan baby I've seen taking a ride on mom (or dad?). Great subject! |

Bike Gangby TygerrComment: I really like the lines and the muted colors. The tidy parking makes me want to drive in there and park my moped the wrong way, though :-) Nice photograph. |

Tall Yucca with Streetlightby dahvedComment: That's kind of cool. I'd like to see a bit more depth in the clouds / sky - might be good with levels and curves in Photoshop if you've got it. If not, then possibly another photo processing program to give the sky a bit more interest. I like the simplicity of this shot a lot. I like the way you've got the entire tree in, with the empty space at top. |
