unnamedby PanoComment: Really, really cool effect with the fisheye (and I am jealous of that lens!). I love the guy in the background, too. It would be a serious 'wow' image for me if the sky weren't blown out, or if the sky were somehow toned down. The red lines in the staircase are such an effective way to bring the eye up along the railing to the silhouette, |

Trying to find a place on US soil he can legally have a cigarette.by redmoonComment: Is this a lens baby or is the blur on the edges some special effect in photoshop? Either way, I find it very appealing, especially on the left-hand side. For me, there might be even more impact if the smoke house were more to the right instead of dead center in the frame. I'm enjoying the b&w and reasonably low contrast a lot. |

Behind The Lense - Sonoran Springs Rememberedby sammy_stecchinoComment: This is really nice. The tones are wonderful. I am reducing my score by a point because of the slightly out of focus cactus on the left that keeps stealing my concentration, but otherwise, this is pretty near perfect. I like the b&w very much. |

The Backyardby sadiebirdComment: What an incredibly spot-on entry for this challenge! It's not only Steve's area (I think), but it's just a plainly beautiful image. The sky and the light are wonderful. Very good job and my only 10 so far. |

He's: Where The Landscape Ends ...by tateComment: This is the very best one with Steve brushes, if that is a brush effect in the sky. Either way, it's one of my favorites so far, and that's saying a lot since I have been voting the more natural pictures higher in this challenge. But this just draws me right in. The graduations in the sky and the small clouds are such a perfect backdrop for the figure with the umbrella. The road looks too smooth and painted for my taste, but otherwise, there's not a critical thing I can say. 9 |
