Temptation of the Beesby tateComment: Wow, fabulous high contrast really makes those pollen-laden stamens stand out. Almost like fire. Striking! |

Iceberg Melting on a Smooth Wave by JohannesFrankComment: What a very serene and beautiful image. It's almost abstract in it's soft lines and textures and shapes. The focal point of htat iceberg with it's inverted comma shape is just perfect. Magical. |

Moonflowersby pwm6Comment: Well, I like the flowers but all I can focus on is the lady's backside. Unless it's a play on words with the mooning? |

Waiting Patiently...by dsniderComment: Liking the warmth of the light with the long exposure and the ghosting of the train and that one guy waiting on the platform. |

The Nylon Curtainby gsalComment: I just came across this.
I like the inclusion of the white wall in the frame - it provides a balance or echo for the white lines of the window frame.
I like the high contrast colours and the wonderful textures - they give a slightly surreal or timeless quality.
The clipping of the curtain doesn't bother me.
I don't agree that NOT clipping would stabilise or reduce energy. But nor do I think that clipping it is a negative. |

Grandmaby gsalComment: Such a charming portrait. I love her expression, and the wonderful texture and detail in her skin. The way the background white area follows the contours of her face gives her face more definition. The grain or noise, evident in the blurred areas, is beautiful. |

A Colorful Subjectby Blue MoonComment: Heh, can't see why sanitary tampons would gross anyone out when used like this... it's odd and surreal but hardly gross! |

My heart under your feetby Rino63Comment: He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
W.B. Yeats
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread carefully because you tread on my dreams. |
