A Pure Scentby librodoComment: Beautifully cropped to really highlight the swirling pattern of the petals. Nice composition with the main curve from top to bottom (at the right hand side) formed by the two-three touching petals there. Yellow shadow detail adds depth. Good choie of border though not sure of choice of grey colour for the thicker smudged border element. |

A Pinecone In Autumnby GolferDDSComment: This definitely conveys that slightly musty pine smell that is so evocative of the season. I like the use of shallow DOF to throw out foreground and background, and like choice of getting in close to subjects. |

Garlicby HavokComment: Nice use of low DOF and good tight crop into the subject. |

Aroma Therapyby BigMoComment: Nice composition and viewpoint and use of smoke to add interest at top of frame.
Would allow just a small touch more of background at the right edge so that tip of holder isn't quite so close to edge of frame. Just a touch though.
Also curious as to how lower DOF would work - I think it could add further interest. |

Incenseby bormicComment: I like what you're doing here.
I'd like to suggest some very minor changes which might (in my opinion only) improve the image.
The incense burner seems on a slight tilt within the frame. I think this may be because of viewpoint/ position of the camera since the tip seems to be fairly vertical but the whole item doesn't quite seem straight.
The incense cones on the right - I'd move the one that is partially hidden by the burner to the right just a touch and infact move all of them to the right just a touch - feels more balanced to me.
I like the subtle shape and effect of the smoke - is it a long exposure? |

The season's scentsby Bela45Comment: Very festive, certainly the kind of image I can imagine being used in seasonal articles in weekly/ monthly magazines. |

onions on the grillby coolharComment: I guess I can imagine the smell without too much trouble but the image itself lacks punch/ interest. It doesn't (for me) stand alone as an interesting image. Focus also seems a little soft. |
