Would prefer sharper focus and a portrait orientation - the space at the two sides seems wasted and yet it feels tight for space above her head - and lighting is a little harsh for my tastes. 8

Title seems too long - with this image you don't need to try and justify how it fits into the challenge - if anyone fails to see the fit perhaps they just don't appreciate the powers of a beautiful landscape in aiding silent meditation/ contemplation! 8

The angle of view gives a really teetering kind of feel to this - almost makes me feel like I do when I am standing at the top of a high staircase. Vertigo! I like the light and shadow and blue tones. This is a great abstract interpretation of the challenge. 9

Another foggy morning

The colours of the boat really sing out against the misty water and sky. Great composition too and I like the little dot of that bouy - it's like a full stop after the flourish of a signature (written right to left). 9

I really like this - though I think it's the work of art itself I'm admiring as much as your image of it. It's a great idea for the challenge though. Cropping at top is slightly out, not that this has an impact on my scoring or anything.

This is a beautiful portrait and an excellent choice for this challenge. My only suggestion would be that it might better suit a portrait orientation. I find that the two empty areas to the sides of him don't really strengthen composition.

I am really attracted to this image - the lighting is beautiful. Very ethereal and it the image very strongly connotes to me that fantasy world, fairy world, ghost world that is a figment of my imagination but that seems almost real when I'm on the edge of dreaming. 10

I love this and have viewed it several times since I did my initial voting (10) and now my voting fine tuning (10). Whilst the traditional technical measures of a "good" image (such as composition, background etc) aren't the best they could be, this image packs an incredible punch, regardless. It conveys silence and the reality of living in a silent world very very strongly. I also love the feeling of connection with your subjects. An exceptional image and my joint-favourite this challenge.

Now this is a place in which to sit quietly and appreciate all the good things in one's life. Colours seem oversaturated. Composition isn't strong for me - if there were only one rock formation off to a side it would work, but with two of them my eye ends up kind of falling in the (boring) empty patch of sky between them.

I like the idea - empty park benches in what is presumably a quiet park - but visually the three benches are like a sight line leading me in to a.... waste bin.
