Sunkenby basia03Comment: A beautiful detail shot that very much appeals to me. Stands out from most of the other images as being something seen differently. |

Island Houseby AJFIComment: I love this in so many ways, the sheer matter-of-fact simplicity of it and the odd, ephemeral grace of the structure. I do SO wish you'd given it a little more breathing room right and left, it's discontertingly cramped by the framing of the shot. |

In the Woodsby ZoomdakComment: This is sweet & rich. A little too garish on the foreground greens for my taste, but an effective composition. I'm guessing Oregon? |

Behind The Green Doorby sherComment: Gotta love this one in all its oversaturated glory. A strong composition and a fine sense of decreptitude. |

window to the amazonby jellojelloComment: This is quite powerful and beautifully composed/exposed. A completely different feeling than most of the entries. High score from me. |

Going Nowhereby FirstyComment: One of the very best of the "detail" shots, a "readable" image that's quite compelling. The border's not doing you any favors IMO, though. Strong score from me. |

Port of Portlandby MickComment: I very much like the vaguely "historical", old-timey feel of this shot with the blown sky and background. I'm wishing it had been toned to accentuate that. Nice image! |

abandoned dreamsby sidpixelComment: I wish the bright part of the sky were not so extremely burned out, this is a real flaw in my eyes. I can see a trace of detail there so it should be fixable, since the contrast is if anything too high throughout the image. I think it would work better with the contrast scaled back a notch or two. Still, a strong and gritty image and a good score from me. |

A Dead American Treasure, the ROXY Drive-Inby ClickNSeeComment: I supect this won't do well, but I hope it does. I love the purity of the lines, the cartoonish sense of oversaturation, and especially the very precise separation between overhand and hill line on the right, which speaks volumes for the care you spent composing this shot. (Either that or you were lucky as hell, LOL) |

M.C. Escher's Boyhood Houseby mariomelComment: I love this shot. The tonal range could be smoothed out, there's some total highlight blowout here that distracts and the darkest areas are a tad blocked up as well, but a cery stron entry in my eyes nonetheless. |
