My Beautyby HighwayFlowerComment: A lovely subject and set up. It looks like the camera focused on the trees in the background more than the cat in the window. The cat looks grainy and too softly focused in my opinion. Keep trying for future challenges though. |

TOME BEAUTIESby joansuzyComment: Nice image, I love books too and these are so colorful. The problem with this image besides the size, is that the gold on the bindings is blown out from the flash. You might try more indirect lighting or using a flash that isn't attached to the camera. Better luck next time. |

Seahorseby shocknurse1Comment: Nice capture, meets the challenge, but this photo could be improved by having a little clearer detail of the seahorse and less of the plant. It looks like the camera "saw" the plant more than the true subject of the seahorse. |

The statue is pretty and speaks to the challenge of beauty, but the stark black background, soft focus and flash highlights detract from the image overall. I would retry this shot with a pretty colored background and see if it improves the overall image. |

Red Hot Pokersby mexicoComment: Great title and subject. Good use of color. I would have had all 3 of the main stalks in focus though. Looking past one out of focus stalk to see the in focus stalk with 2 more out of focus in the back ground isn't working for me, and hurts my eyes. Great attempt though, keep trying. |
