I think this shot is pretty good just the way you set it up. I don't think there is much more you need to do to "save the shot" with post processing. I think this shot was quite successful. I would be more inclined to continue experiments using variations of pyrotechniks, reflective sources and subjects or combinations of subjects. This shot has certainly given me some inspiration.

Congratulations on your ribbon. Despite your concerns over the details, I think this is a stunning shot with the ribbon well deserved. Your artistry with use of the sheets is simply amazing. The silver tone works perfectly for this. It's incredible what you can do pull off at the last minute.

I like the high contrast and low key setup for this shot. You have really simplified this subject by showing only the hands and tools. You "nailed" the title.

Only drawback seems to be that the frame seems a bit crowded with 6 items (three hands, hammer, nail and cross) squeezed together, but I think it works nonetheless. Only wish I could make a shot half as compelling.
