Lily Padsby sartobrComment: This is the most interesting photograph of lily pads I've seen. I love the way you've captured the light on the softly curled edges of the pads. Featuring the single flower balanced by the opposing patch of clear water was also very effective. I applaud the overall composition, the crop (if any) and the chosen depth of field. Overall, a lovely photograph. Bravo! 8 |

Work in progressby andriComment: This peeling paint has a strange, cave-painting quality, I guess because of the apparent human figure on the right. Love the water spigot. Overall, it's an absorbing image with a very pleasing feel to it. 7 |

The Clawby Art RoflmaoComment: A very effective photograph of some nasty looking textures. Good composition and depth of field. 7 |

Bark & Grassby snellslawComment: There's something about this lovely, spare image that I find very appealing. The contrasting textures of the two subjects are very effectively shown. The lighting is beautiful. But I think it's the composition and the bold crop that I like best. 8 |

Lavender's Blue (Dilly Dilly)by ArtanComment: Striking scene and well photographed to emphasise the soft, tactile nature of the lavender rows. Like a macro of a bath mat! 7 |

Dark land by heidaComment: Looks like Iceland; landscape by Wagner, plus a few UFO's visible in the heavy sky. Anyway, it's terrific. So much texture it almost looks three-dimensional! I also like the figure exiting the shot; not just for the scale it gives, but it also suggests that this is an uncomfortable place. I'm not sure what you've done with the colour; it doesn't seem to be a simple selective desat ... whatever it is, I think it suits this subject. 8 |

Earthly textureby jonasvalComment: Lovely shot, nicely composed and balanced to effectively show this remarkable mix of geo-textures. Well done. 9 |

Pachydermalby Keith ManiacComment: Well I'll be damned. I just finished complimenting one elephant's ass, and here's another one. All these years without one, and now it's two in five minutes. Now that I'm fast becoming an expert on the subject, I can say that this elephant's ass has slightly the better composition. Bravo! 8 |
