enterby jmritzComment: A beautifully balanced lack of balance, and a really gorgeous concord of graduated tones and colors. Very lovely, John. Thank you. |

Specterby aznymComment: I'm going with this as my top pick of the challenge, and I think it just may be by someone who has never won a posthumous ribbon. Which would make it all the more pleasing for me. I will be disappointed with Don if he does not reward you for this.
Second visit. Well I lie; it's probably my fifth or so. Nothing's changed; it's a spectacular and very instructive use of almost nothing to create an arresting photograph, and it's still my top pick. 10. Thank you. |

eternal sunshine of the spotless mindby whiteroomComment: They look like a happy couple, strapped into seats 67A and 67B (well they both seem to be in 67A just at the moment) and headed on holiday to somewhere fun. It's improbably convincing and engaging. Top three for me. |

winningby posthumousComment: If I were posthumous I would give you a ribbon for this. Red, I think. I like the illusion of looking down at his reflected alter ego. Alas, I don't think you are eligible to receive a posthumous ribbon. Just a feeling I have. |

Descentby Yo_SpiffComment: My immediate thought was of Henri Cartier-Bresson's Hyères photograph. That's a damn good first thought to inspire!! Top five for me. Thank you. |

contemplativeby tomeComment: This might be even better than I think, and I think it's pretty good. I'm having a guess that you are pointandshoot, and that's the best compliment I can offer. Top five for me. |

Back Stageby atupdateComment: Scale. It's all about scale I suppose. Immensity of the stage versus insignificance of the person. And the tiny bit of blur about the head & shoulders, as a bit of a nod to posthumous. Nevertheless I give it high marks for the conventional stuff: perfect exposure and tonal control. Top ten for me. Thank you. |

three stories by tateComment: Oh, I'm torn. Picture is decent. Title is very good indeed and makes me think the picture may be even better than I thought. Top ten. Thank you. |

we wereby tnunComment: It's either crap or brilliant. Second look ... a looooong one: yes I will go with brilliant, or close to it. The feather (if it is a feather, or even if it isn't) is the clincher. Top ten. Thank you. |
