This is a deceptively simple photograph. It's a prosaic scene made profound (well, more interesting) by the sweeping connection between the people and the ship. And the effect is reinforced by the odd intrusion on the right: it seems to suggest a turning page, and says something about fleeting connections between people and places. A clever and absorbing photograph, whether or not you entirely meant it as I saw it (and your title suggests that you did). 7 & thank you.

Interesting photograph. Nice balance in the arrangement of the various elements. "Validated Ticket Area' and 'Video Monitoring' are also splendid signs of the times. And he reads a lurid tabloid in which a scantily clad blonde is said to be TKO'd. Or maybe it is she who has TKO'd someone else (she does appear to be lap dancing in the picture). This is a whole Chekhov play gathering in a single frame. 7 & thank you.
