Oh the torture I imagine you went thru..."include the wire?", "don't include the wire?". :D Great idea for showing an electrical item. The clear glass and wonderful background work well. One thing I may have considered is doing this in a portrait orientation with maybe some negative space underneath. I'm sure you made the best choice given the situation. Either way...well done. This is a fun image and shows good use of electricity and it's impact on society (how else can she dry her hair?). Composition works well, and the image is well focused and sharp. My only complaint is the color tone - looks kind of purplish. Good luck in the challenge.

This is absolutely STUNNING!!! Wow! The HDR thing has been on my radar, flying low, for a little while now. Haven't investigated it much more than a quick look. This photo has made me a true believer!

I'm looking at this and trying to come up with something to say. I kind of like it, but I'm not sure. I mean, it's hard to settle in with it. Not sure where the point of focus or interest is. Without seeing other arrangements it's hard to say if another composition may have worked better. Sorry.
