Certainly makes one stop and think. :D I like the color contrast with the white birch and the orange leaves in the bg. The top 2/3rds of the tree trunk is well focused, started to slide out a little near the bottom. Angle plus shallow aperture perhaps? Anyway, nicely done overall. Good luck in the challenge.

Your title makes me smile. Combined with her expression it's hard not to. She probably has a wonderful smile - why not show it? Something about the lighting is taking away from her eyes and it also seems close to hot on her left cheek (sunny side). Perhaps she is squinting a little? The birds do a great job of showing context in this image (size/scale). Without them I would find this photo kind of ho-humish, another waterfall. :D It's refreshing to see an image that isn't extremely overprocessed also. Thanks for that. Good luck in the challenge.

Very well seen and captured. I wish the heron was a little brighter and the whites a truer white (seem a little too bluish - minor color temp slide would fix). Good luck in the challenge.

Nice view. A little over the top on saturation (especially the blues) but ok nonetheless. One thing I wish for is a place to land. There's not really any subject or item that the viewer can linger on except maybe the foreground tree on the left. Hmmm... Anyway, just some observations. I'd have been tempted to take a fairly similar shot myself given this view. Good luck in the challenge.
