Circles of lifeby mangymooseComment: I'm not really sure what this is. Is the primary subject of this photo the fuzzy item located in the top left third intersection? The spots are where? Not trying to be rude, just trying to understand what this photo is about. If the primary subject is the item mentioned, then it should be sharper. A slight boost in saturation would bring out the color more, and a minor adjustment in contrast might help as well. It's certainly an interesting item - whatever it is. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

She Wears Spotsby silverfeatherComment: The spots get lost in this photo. The color is distracting I think. Did you look at this in B/W? It would also be a stronger image if her eyes were better focused. Maybe some chapstick or moisturizer on her lips would make them more vivid/colorful? All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Leopard Eyesby JunieMoonComment: Oh, this has so much potential! The grate in front of the leopard is perfect for the challenge. If you boosted the blacks, and/or added some contrast to this, the grate would be darker. As is, it's making the image look flat and washed out some. Very cool direction you took with this. Good luck in the challenge. |

Leopard Wannabeby riversongComment: Nice juxtaposition. I wish the hair on the cats forehead was as sharp as the hair on the ear. Since that area (forehead) has the most lighting it jumps out a bit more. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

spot the sleepy dalmationby skewsmeComment: Good choice for B/W conversion. I like the way you've composed this. Looks like the aperture could have been a little deeper as the focal plane is a little shallow. Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Oscar Spotsby 4trtoneComment: Hard to get Oscar to stand still isn't it? :D Very tricky to get a closeup like this. As is, this one is a little blurry. Use a tripod? Make have to kick the shutter speed up some. Anyway, good luck in the challenge. |

Yahtzee Spotsby HoochieComment: A little too close up on this I think. Would also help if the pieces (dice and background) were clean. Do what you can physically to control the environment, then use despeckle (or similar noise reduction) to minimize some of the other smaller specks. A true black background would be helpful here (pick up a black poster board for a couple bucks at local art store). In this case a minor adjustment to levels and contrast might have worked. All of the above is JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Polka Dotted Sticky Spotsby karmatComment: I love this for the cute and clever side of it. I do wish the white of the background was a truer white, but still well done overall. Good luck in the challenge. |
