Greetings From Your New Happy Place...Wish You Were Hereby sabphotoComment: Nice photo. Maybe a little soft, but I really like the way you've captured the sun as it falls/rises under/over the rocks (not sure if sunrise or sunset). As for the postcard component of this challenge - why not place some text on the photograph? Trying to sell the message in your title kind of defeats the special clause in this challenge IMO. Again, that's JMO. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentuckyby beamsclanComment: This has a nice postcard feel to it. Clean, crisp, and interesting to look at. The strong lighting works overall, it does seem a little hot on the right rocking chair perhaps, but that's a minor issue in the big scheme of things here. :D I do get the impression you were timid on placing text on this nice photo? Personally, I would have maybe gone a little larger on the text (I like the font style BTW), and spread it out some, maybe even split the message into two parts; "Shaker Village" and then "Pleasant Hill, Kentucky". Something like that. All JMO of course. Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Lymm, Cheshireby michael_pComment: HDR? The colors look unnatural and a little flat, especially in the distant tree line around the tower. A light burn and some contrast boost might help here a little. All JMO of course. :D I like how you've incorporated the tree branches (foreground), and water grasses, to create some natural framing. Good luck in the challenge. |

Sri Lankaby aznymComment: This is a compelling image. Makes me want to look around a bit. Guess that works for a postcard also. :D The passing bicyclist is moving into the photo with room in front - that's good. Do wish I could see more of his face but the lighting wasn't cooperating for you in that regard. Looks like there is two, maybe three animals in the front yard of the house in the background? :) Good luck in the challenge. |

National Arboretum, Washington, D.C.by ltlmschrisssComment: This is very nice. Simple, well composed. Sends a simple message and is interesting to look at by itself (as a standalone photo). The font style you've selected is classy and fits the theme. Well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Clarksville Mornby rayg544Comment: Hey. Clarksville, TN! :D Gosh, haven't been there in 15 years now. Is there still a Foot Locker store in the Clarksville Mall? Interesting that you chose this for your postcard. Nothing else going there? :P It's a nice photo of the train station as far as the angle you've selected, etc... Too bad about the sky being overcast and grey. Something about the placement of the text seems a bit awkward. JMO of course. Maybe because it's placed so close to the 'Clarksville' sign and is of a different font style? Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Vasco da Gama Bridgeby De SousaComment: Wow. This is very nice. Crisp, clear, wonderful image. Love the sky and the lighting overall. Exceptionally well done. The font type works well up top, the bottom left I'm not sure. I'd wish you luck, but somehow I don't think you need it. :D |

Denverby UNTITLEDComment: Good timing to catch the lights just coming on. How did this scene look 10 minutes later? Just curious. Nice work overall. Good luck. |

Everyone's Welcomeby lentilComment: Almost a bit too wordy I think. It takes away from the photo IMO. First impression is this reminds me a little of those motivational poster/prints you see, which is a compliment I think. :D Pleasing image. I like how you've included the foreground rocks. The background hill and shoreline aid the viewer with a nice set of leading lines. Overall, quite nice. Good luck in the challenge. |
