I Pledgeby mcgoffinetComment: You were born a fairly long time ago I take it? Sorry, just don't see any connection to the challenge here at all. Where is the year in your title? |

surfingby gliphixComment: I understand that this was probably a "moment" captured as the surfers were leaving. It's a shame that the blownout sun had to be included in this as the rest of the image looks nice overall. Could be sharpened maybe just a little. In this challenge the photographers were given artistic license with a rule exception allowing text. It wasn't required, but I can't help but wonder why you didn't give it a shot? Just an observation. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Florida's First Coastby NobodyComment: Nice, clean, interesting image. You can tell there's a little time lapse (long exposure) by looking at the water, which has a nice blur to it. Text is fine. Now that I'm looking a little closer I wonder if it's not just a smidgen overexposed? I say that because the text on some of the signs is blurring together (BELLSOUTH, building in the center also). Just an observation. Overall, well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Pelican Watersby sherpetComment: The pelican is alright as a subject. Looks like some detail has been lost in the white areas of the bird either from overexposing or pushing the contrast too high perhaps. The pelican seems to be in focus just fine, but the photo overall seems oversharpened. Positioning of your subject within the frame is good. The text message is "ok". All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Welcome to Heron Bayby IndigoButterflyComment: This looks like a postcard. :D Nice photo overall. Pretty good control on perspective distortion (building lines while shooting with camera tilted up). Font style selection is fine, although you could use more space for the text area up top as the "g" gets lost. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

toronto welcomes youby saintaugustComment: This is a fun to look at photo. At first I wanted to say that the postcard text is too small, but it actually works better in an understated manner. The photo, while interesting, is a bit too grainy and blurry for me to be a strong image. Clever use of it though for this challenge. Hmmm. Good luck. |

Greetings From The Lone Star Stateby gdob27Comment: That's a cool looking hay barn. :D Your postcard text matches up fine with the main subject and the theme. Normally, a centered composition gets kind of hammered around here. In this case it seems to work just fine. Honestly, while the barn is cool, the surrounding area is a bit plain and ho-hum. Nothing personal, just an observation, and certainly not much you can do (could have done) about it. Good luck to you in the challenge. |

Transilvaniaby GiorgioComment: Wonderful image. The hillside and the two strong color tones in this work great together. Very nice work putting this together and in your compositional choices. Text for the postcard is "ok". I like the font style selected - not sure I'm totally sold on the placement and size, but hey, we're not graphic artists now are we? :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Ski Coloradoby RebeccaComment: Hey! Here's a winner. Very clever idea with the colored text. Works great with this very colorful subject you've chosen. Great job! I'd wish you luck in the challenge, but somehow don't think you're going to need it. :D |
