The Brave Unknownby rexComment: Such a sad, sad story. My entry to the Cemetary Challenge was about confederate soldiers as well, except, being from NY, the confederate soldiers in my photos were dead prisoners. I'm really glad that there were a number of people who used the Civil War as their theme to this challenge. I very nearly did an "Unknown Soldier" site as well, but thought the story of John Jones was one I wanted to share.

My Bugby NeuferlandComment: Great shot Deannda, Congrats. Probably should have finished better than it did. I thought for sure this would be in the top 3! Awesome portrait...! |

Flying Yby cwalmyeComment: This is an interesting image, but one of the many in this challenge that don't seem to be "well photographed". I'm affraid many images in this challenge were created with the "letter" in mind and everyone tossed out the window everything they had learned about photography. Although you have captured a "letter" in nature, I'm sorry, but I find this photo uninteresting to look at. <4> |

The square "root" of nby KelliComment: Good imagination. You can almost get pi out of that. This is an interesting image, but one of the many in this challenge that don't seem to be "well photographed". A Word on Nature...by ImagineerComment: Okay, please forgive me, but I'm not seeing a "letter" here at all. I've looked at this one several times, backed away from the monitor, and looked at it from different angles. The best I can do is an upside down lower case 'q'. This, however is one of the very best images, quality-wise in the challenge, with great lighting, marvelous detail ( a little loss in the center white area, but that could be my monitor), and an interesting composition, which most of the other images lack. I know there has to be a letter in there somewhere, so giving you that benefit of the doubt, and based on the quality of the photo, I'm giving it my praises. <9> |

Why?by LynnSComment: Interesting image, but seems to lack detail which is lost in the hot spots. My eye is drawn to the details in the trees in the background rather than the main object. Interesting "Y" however. <5> |

... is for coffeeby jvstoneComment: Nice idea, but I'm not sure that I care for the soft, out of focus look. Maybe it grows on you, but it hasn't me yet. I do love the idea, the angle, the whole composion, I'm just not wild about the softness of the hand on this one. <7> |

B...raby carodaniComment: The perfect "B", although I truely dought we talking "B". Anyway, great detail in the lace and skin, beautiful lighting on the black background really makes this image jump off the screen, and of course, anincredible model. Very nicely done. <9> |
