This is a lovely shot but the waters are just too pretty to be gloomy. I would have liked this anywere else but this challenge. Sad to say mine is the same way (lonely n blue) and getting scored so low for that. Personally I only score down a point or two for not fitting a category. Nice DOF, color, line, shapes, and textures. There is a lack of sharpness, mostly in the clouds.

Great except for flash shadow. I don't know a great deal about studio lighting, but I know how much I dislike the camera flash look.
Otherwise a really great expression and setup. :)

Really great expression! Good possiton of shot and cropping. I actually like the line behind him, it adds to the motion of the upraised arm. I only don't like the flash washout and shadows. 8
