Nice angle, good lighting for a grainy feel. Good pose too, wouldn't change any of that. I like digital grain (longer exposure, low light) for some reason. Many don't. *shrug* I agree with the crop comment, I would try to get, say, the ridge of the nose at 1/3rd up from the bottom by cropping of a little of the top -- just for that final touch. :)

The composition is excellent in my view. The crystal clarity, lighting and super-sharp focus diligently capture something very real. Rather than abstracting human flesh, this shot celebrates the natural form in pristine detail. I love it.

I think the photo deserved a much higher placing in the challenge than it got. I guess socially/culturally biased, subjective criticism was involved yet again. "There's no accounting for the voters" :)

I suppose it would be non-democratic or some travesty of privacy to suggest people who vote shots like this below a five (5) should be shot?

(with a camera I mean, for us to see who they are, of course :)

Sensual? Hmmm. Personally I would have said "sincere". "See the real person here." -- in an air of masked frustration, almost distrust of a viewer seeing the true being behind the skin and eyes. No, much deeper than sensual -- perhaps "soulful" or "sentient". This photo is all about the communication in the face to me. It's so "human" as human should be. Beautiful.

Nice idea -- would look so much better if the web were lacking the motion blur/focus issues. Hand-held shots like this can be so frustrating -- or was it a breeze blowing the web a little? Love the colours.
