Between a Rock and a Hard Placeby hopelessoptimistComment: Man, I could have sworn I saw a picture with this girl in a canyon somewhere recently... I think she was standing at the entrance to a canyon or something. I honestly preferred the other one. This one is a bit too close and makes her look awkward.
As to her pose, I think it might have looked more natural if she had her back to the 'hard place' and her hands pushing on the rock, but that would have required her to get a little more in the space, probably at the cost of your light... Indeed the picture itself suffers from a bit of of the very cliche in the title.
Nice skirt. |

Real Women have Curvesby GKPhotosComment: Ahh! She's blinking! Oyk! I hate it when people blink in my pictures... :)
It looks like you have some room to grow in a couple of aspects of this picture. In this setting, it might have been difficult to get everything right anyhow....
Most notably with this picture, I would have sliced off about 30 pixels from the bottom to cut off the front end of the rug...
Try it and see the effect that it has on the foreground. It removes the figurative barrier of the edge of the carpet and invites the viewer inwards a bit more... |

When Pigs Flyby deepfrog17Comment: Kind of an interesting dreamlike quality to this one, Maybe something that would be suitable in a kid's book or something?
The lighting is nice, but there's something about it that kinda bothers me. Maybe it's the kiltered background angle... |

The writing is on the wall ...by kari1Comment: Kinda edgy. I guess you noticed the bad case of jaggies here... Not sure where that came from... I'm not counting it in my vote. |

Far from the madding crowd by BrinComment: I really like the foreground, but there's something a little odd about the clouds... Graduated ND filter?
The colors go together well, but I might have liked just a bit more lightness in the blues. Maybe something to accent his jeans in the sky? |

The Bitter Endby cutlassdude70Comment: Dude! This is fantastic! I was wondering what to do for Negative myself.
It adds a certain fantasy aspect to the picture because there seems to be a magical light within the hand or something.

bee.jpgby nlghttrainComment: Nice job on a difficult subject. However did you focus on it? ZIPERs!
Around here we have these hover flies that I would LOVE to get a picture of but they are WAY too skittish and seem to know when they are being snapped. |
